History
• Future Estonian Football Association president Aivar Pohlak helped found Flora in March 1990, the club initially linking up with the chemical works of the same name; they started off life in the second division in Soviet-era Estonia, but became local giants in the years following the first post-independence season in 1992.
• Pohlak himself was Flora's first coach, as well as their president, but as the club's academy produced a regular stream of talent, four of his successors combined their duties with coaching the national team: Roman Ubakivi (1994-95), Icelander Teitur Thordarson (1996-99), Dutchman Arno Pijpers (2001-04) and Tarmo Rüütli (2000 and 2009).
• Back-to-back titles in 1994 and 1995, the latter a double, set the tone for Flora's domestic dominance – they have never finished lower than fourth in the league – while they were regulars in UEFA club competition, though a 2006/07 UEFA Cup success against SFK Lyn of Norway remains their only two-legged triumph in continental football.
• Flora's most famous match took place in Sicily on 29 August 1998 when they lost 2-1 to AC Milan in a friendly; Urmas Kirs put Flora in front but goals from George Weah and Zvonimir Boban gave Milan the win.
• Flora's 9,692-capacity Lilleküla Arena is also Estonia's national stadium, and it was there that they celebrated their eighth title – and first since 2003 – in 2010, under the leadership of their former midfielder Martin Reim, who won 157 caps.
