Ståle Solbakken, København coach
It was pretty even and Benfica were strong in defence. I'm satisfied but we didn't have the fire power to make a difference tonight. We got our first Champions League point but didn't have that extra something to turn it into a win. Our free-kicks and corners didn't work and usually our most potent weapon. The Manchester United [FC] result [a 3-2 win against Celtic FC] is good for København because United are the group favourites and we have to fight with Celtic for second place. We have to improve because it will be much harder away from home. We beat [AFC] Ajax away so we can also beat the others.
Fernando Santos, Benfica coach
It was a difficult first half and it was hard to produce good football but we played much better in the second half, especially going forward. It was a good result but I would have been more satisfied with a win. The last ten minutes were extremely good but that wasn't enough. We will see how good the result was when the other teams play here because København were difficult opponents.
Tobias Linderoth, København captain
We proved that we can make it at this level but I am never satisfied with a draw and I don't think any player should be. To win you need some sharp players up front and we just didn't have those today.
Jesper Christiansen, København goalkeeper
Bearing in mind how well we played in the first half we might have deserved better tonight. However, one point to start with is always good. This was a very special evening. I have appeared twice in the UEFA Champions League before with Rangers [FC] but this was different to every other match I have ever played. The atmosphere was terrific and it was very inspiring for us.
