With the last kick of the first-half the Argentinian powers a free-kick on to the inside of the left post from 25 metres. The whole stadium held their breath as it flew towards the top corner but much to the relief of Marek Čech it cannoned back off the post as the referee blew his whistle.

The goal is gaping but the ball is sent over the bar. After more neat passing Pedro seems to be free in front of goal but a toe from a defender just does enough to put him off and the ball goes over the bar. Yet another close call.
