A big, powerful central defender, Yevhen Khacheridi was introduced to the Ukrainian national team in the closing stages of the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign, starting both play-off games against Greece, the country in which his family have their roots. He is now in his third season with FC Dynamo Kyiv.
• Caught the eye both with home-town club FC Olkom Melitopol and during a two-year loan spell in Ukraine's second tier with FC Volyn Lutsk.
• Recruited by Dynamo in 2008, he waited a year for his first-team breakthrough and enjoyed a winning debut in the UEFA Champions League, playing all 90 minutes of a 3-1 home win against FC Rubin Kazan.
• Fast-tracked into the Ukrainian national team after just a handful of appearances for Dynamo, he made his debut in a 2010 World Cup qualifier at home to England.
• Continued to feature regularly in 2010/11, scoring his first European goal for Dynamo in a UEFA Europa League group game against AZ Alkmaar; helped Dynamo to a second place finish in the league in 2011/12.
