Massimiliano Allegri, Milan coach
In the first half the team made several mistakes. This is not a good time for us, and the fans are asking us to win every game. After the restart we created some good chances but lacked that killer instinct. There is a lot of pressure on the team at the moment and a victory would have been a relief for us.
In the second half [Anderlecht] didn't have a single shot on target and not conceding represents a step forward for us. At the moment we have to take it day by day. In the end I am fairly satisfied. We didn't have a bad game, even though a victory would have been better for our confidence.
John van den Brom, Anderlecht coach
Before the match we would have definitely settled for taking a point from here. We were eager not to become the laughing stock of the Champions League with no points from the 18 available and now we have started by taking one very good point away from here.
The tactical plans were carried out very well, a great compliment to the boys. This point is more than well deserved. I am proud of the fantastic performance we put on in this match. We searched for a way to be able to battle against Milan, and we found it. I have underlined the importance of organisation and that is what has earned us the point.
