Substitute Kostas Mitroglou broke Montpellier Hérault SC hearts by scoring in added time as Olympiacos FC registered a 2-1 come-from-behind win in Group B.
Olympiacos had lost on three of their last four visits to France, and appeared likely to suffer another reverse after UEFA Champions League debutant Gaëtan Charbonnier gave the hosts a 49th-minute lead. However, the French champions were pegged back by visiting captain Vassilis Torossidis sweeping home with 17 minutes remaining before Mitroglou capped a swift counterattack with seconds left to give the Greek Super League leaders a first victory of the group stage.
We had the chances and scored before they started the comeback from a set piece. We played well apart from the scoreline, but that is what counts.
Hilton, Montpellier defender
These three points are like gold, they will serve as a huge confidence boost. They also revive our European campaign and we are back on track.
