Ashley Young has sat out the last two months with a knee injury but his frustration at being sidelined is nothing compared to his memories of Manchester United FC's premature UEFA Champions League exit last season.
United face SC Braga on Tuesday safely top of Group H with maximum points but having reached three finals in four years, in 2011/12 they did not even make the last 16 as they ended third in their section, draws in their first two games proving costly. Forward Young, now ready to return to action, remembers that all too well.
"It was disappointing, especially for a club like us; everybody was bitterly disappointed to go out at the stage that we did," he told UEFA.com. "We're a club that wants to get all the way and win the Champions League, and everyone is looking to make amends in every single game we play."
Watch the video above for Young's thoughts on Braga, Robin van Persie's arrival and his own recovery from injury. You can read a full version of this interview in the current edition of Champions Matchday, the official magazine of the UEFA Champions League.
