EB/Streymur broke their European duck in emphatic style as they blew away FC Lusitans in Torshavn to progress to the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round with a 7-3 aggregate triumph.

Rúni Nolsøe's men had never before won a two-legged tie in UEFA competition but came from two goals down with ten men to earn a draw in last week's first leg, and they built on that fightback to defeat their Andorran opponents with ease. Levi Hanssen struck twice and could even afford to miss a penalty against opponents who finished a man light after Manuel Machado's 55th-minute red card.

Arnbjørn Hansen struck both goals for the Faroese team in Andorra la Vella last week, and he picked up where he had left off immediately, putting the hosts ahead in the tie three minutes in by converting Hans Pauli Samuelsen's corner with his head.

Hanssen doubled the advantage after 38 minutes and when Machado received a straight red ten minutes after the restart, his side were well and truly up against it. They did show fighting spirit, though, as Luis Dos Reis fired in a free-kick to halve the deficit after 66 minutes.

However, Gunnar Zachariasen restored the two-goal advantage, following in after Ferran Pol had made a strong save. Hanssen then missed from the spot, but just a minute later made up for the error by firing in from 25 metres. Leif Niclasen's added-time fifth put the icing on the cake, meaning his side will fly to Georgia to face FC Dinamo Tbilisi in the second qualifying round full of confidence.
