• On Sunday Arsenal beat Liverpool FC 2-1 at home in the FA Cup fifth round; they will play Everton FC, again at home, in the quarter-finals. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Lukas Podolski scored the goals.

• Arsenal were five points clear at the top of the Premier League on matchday six; they now lie a point behind leaders Chelsea FC.

• Following seven successive victories in all competitions, the Londoners had won just one of their previous four games prior to defeating Liverpool at the weekend.

• The Gunners conceded four goals in the opening 20 minutes as they lost 5-1 at Liverpool on 8 February. It was the first time Arsenal have lost when Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker both completed 90 minutes.

• Aaron Ramsey has scored 13 goals for Arsenal this term (and two for Wales); he managed five in 91 club appearances in the previous two seasons. He has not played since 26 December because of a thigh injury.

• Källström may not feature before the end of February due to a micro-fracture of his back vertebra. Abou Diaby has been out since last March with a knee problem. Oxlade-Chamberlain, out since the first day of the season, returned from a knee injury on 13 January.

• Bayern were four points clear of second-placed Bayer 04 Leverkusen on matchday six; their Bundesliga advantage is now 16.

• A hat-trick from Mario Mandžukić, his first since February 2010, helped Bayern to a 5-0 German Cup quarter-final triumph over Hamburger SV on 12 February. Bastian Schweinsteiger, who had ankle surgery on 13 November, made his return as a substitute. The holders host 1. FC Kaiserslautern in the last four on 15 or 16 April.

• Franck Ribéry will miss the first leg as he recovers from surgery on a buttock injury while Xherdan Shaqiri was ruled out with a thigh problem picked up after scoring twice in Saturday's 4-0 victory over SC Freiburg.

• The Bavarians won the FIFA Club World Cup in mid-December, defeating China's Guangzhou Evergrande FC (3-0) and hosts Raja Casablanca (2-0) in Morocco.

• Bayern are 29 games unbeaten away from home in the Bundesliga (W25 D4), breaking their German top-flight record set between December 1985 and August 1987.

• Josep Guardiola's team have a record 59 points from the opening 21 rounds of the German top flight. The Spaniard has avoided defeat for longer than any other rookie coach in Bundesliga history.

• Bayern are unbeaten in a club best 46 top-flight outings, surpassing Hamburger SV's Bundesliga record of 36 set between 1982 and 1983. Bayern won all 17 of their Bundesliga home games in 2013.

• Bayern collected 93 points in 33 Bundesliga games in 2013, breaking their own calendar year record set in 2005.

• Bayern have registered in each of their last 58 league games, a Bundesliga record, and in each of their last 50 matches in all competitions – since last season's round of 16 second leg against Arsenal.

• Robert Lewandowski will join Bayern on a free transfer from Borussia Dortmund in the summer.
