Beşiktaş JK cruised into the UEFA Champions League play-offs as Demba Ba struck a hat-trick to put an end to Feyenoord.

Already 2-1 up from the first leg, the hosts gave themselves an additional cushion when the Senegalese international struck his first on 28 minutes. Elvis Manu gave the Dutch visitors hope when he made it level on the night with 16 minutes remaining, but Ba registered twice more in the closing ten minutes to keep alive Beşiktaş's hopes of reaching the group stage for the first time since 2009/10.

Olcay Şahan almost put Beşiktaş ahead ten minutes in, but his effort from range zipped wide. The Black Eagles continued to push, though, and a swift counterattack brought the opener. Mustafa Pektemek stole possession from Sven van Beek, raced clear down the left flank and played in Ba, who slotted into the net with his right foot.

Ramon Motta was denied by Erwin Mulder as Slaven Bilić's men looked to push on before the interval, while Ba was in the thick of the action again after the restart, driving a fraction wide.

The tie was reignited when Manu sprinted clear and lobbed Tolga Zengin to make it 1-1, but Ba spared the home fans any late nerves, converting Olcay Şahan's cross from close in with ten minutes to go. The former Chelsea FC man rounded off his night in style, intercepting Terence Kongolo's pass back to Mulder and rounding the keeper to complete his hat-trick.
