Müller and Rafinha keep Bayern dream alive

"Until the ref blows the final whistle we have hope," said Thomas Müller, as he and Rafinha insisted that FC Bayern München can come back from 3-0 down against FC Barcelona.

I am very emotional on the pitch but now my feelings are very much in check. I am not overexcited nor pessimistic, but we still have a chance. We are FC Bayern. It's like before the Porto game [when Bayern overturned a 3-1 deficit after the quarter-final first leg, winning 6-1 in Munich]. We will try our best, and in football anything can happen. Naturally, I believe in us.

Since last Wednesday we have been saying we still have a chance, but we need to play even better. We did not play too badly last week. We still have hope.

I don't think there has been any hangover from [Germany winning] the World Cup. We have had a lot of injuries this season. Of course we would like to have more options, but we still have a good squad. With nearly the same team we beat Porto 6-1 a few weeks ago.

Will, passion, the fans' support – that is what we will need. I wouldn't say that we need a miracle. If we do get through, the press can write that it was a miracle, but that's not the way I would see it.

We have nothing to lose. The players want it, the coach wants it – it is not over yet. Until the ref blows the final whistle, we have hope.

Rafinha, Bayern defender
For 77 minutes last week we played very well, defended very well. After that we made some mistakes and we paid for that. Now we are going to try to score three or four goals – perhaps we will even have to take it to extra time.

Against players like this you take a risk by playing with just three at the back, but we will do what the coach says. It's the details which will decide games like these.

Everyone knows how good Messi is. Of course we wanted to stop him, but a player like that can decide games on his own. But Barcelona is not just Messi. They have a great team, just think about Suarez.

If we are German champions, that means this has been a great season for us. We are still in semi-finals of the Champions League. We had had bad luck with injuries, and of course we wanted to go to the German Cup final too.

We did not expect to be 3-0 down at this stage, but we have another game, and when we are at out stadium, we have shown that we can score a lot of goals.
