Guud Hiddink, Chelsea manager
It's always good to have an away goal in a European game, it doesn't make it easy of course. But it's a game between two big names in European football. It will be a match where hopefully Europe will enjoy two adventurous teams.

Of course Chelsea was anxious to win the Champions League once – PSG are in the same position now, they are anxious to get their first one. They are starting to build up a team, not just individual star players, but as a team they have grown very good in the last few seasons so they are on their way. I hope we can stop them in their project. But they have very experienced players, international players. Look where they have played, they are not a young group of kids not used to this.

Diego Costa is fit, he had a little bit of a problem at the weekend, that's why we didn't bring him. But he was in training today so we will see. He is now scoring frequently in the Premier League, when before December he and the whole team had trouble scoring. Now we will see if he can start scoring in Europe as well. Pedro is available for selection. He made a good impression today so he will be back in the squad.

Laurent Blanc, Paris coach
We need to see if Verratti is able to train. I'm not sure he will definitely be in my squad. I might wait until tomorrow to decide because he is a very important player for us and I hope he is fit.

I don't know if the previous two years' matches will have an impact on tomorrow. I think every game is different and has its own story. I know [the media] like to draw parallels between past meetings but I don't know how things are going to go tomorrow and neither do you. We know what we plan to do to qualify but Chelsea will do likewise.

It could be more difficult than the last two seasons for a number of reasons. We have to be careful. We have an advantage which is important. At kick-off time we will be technically qualified, but we have to impose our style of play on Chelsea, which will be a big challenge. We didn't go through the first time against Chelsea but last year we qualified with ten men. We need to have the right mental approach and we should understand that, because we have been through once, we can do it again.

All you need to know about Paris and Chelsea

Chelsea have a lot of players who allow them to break quickly. They like to soak up the pressure and then break at pace. Willian is one of those players, as is Eden Hazard. They have a lot of attacking players who can be very dangerous over 30, 40, 50 metres and get towards goal, so we need to keep an eye on them because it is very difficult when you give these players space.

We did very well in the first leg in the first 20 minutes because we kept a high line. It might seem risky but it's important to play a high line because it allows you to avoid their players running at pace. Obviously it's very difficult to maintain that for 90 minutes, physically speaking.

Weekend results
Chelsea 1-1 Stoke (Traoré 39; Diouf 85)
Bertrand Traoré struck his fourth in five outings as tenth-placed Chelsea were held in the league for a tenth time this term. Interim boss Guus Hiddink became the first manager to go 12 Premier League games unbeaten at the start of their reign.

David Luiz on his 'love and respect' for former side Chelsea

Paris 0-0 Montpellier
Though they remain 23 points clear of Monaco, Paris have won just one of their last four Ligue 1 fixtures. With injured duo Verratti and Blaise Matuidi already doubts to face Chelsea, Blanc used Javier Pastore and Zlatan Ibrahimović only as substitutes and kept Thiago Motta on the bench throughout.

Will John Obi Mikel's away goal three weeks ago prove as decisive as Hazard's was in carrying Chelsea through this now annual knockout fixture in 2014? The tie is once again finely balanced, though the Ligue 1 leaders need cast their mind back only 12 months for proof they are capable of scoring more than once at Stamford Bridge. With Terry still absent, the contest could hinge on how well Gary Cahill and Branislav Ivanović cope with the visitors' counterattacking threat.

Did you know?
Chelsea overturned a first-leg deficit at Stamford Bridge when these teams met in the 2014 quarter-finals, but a 2-2 draw in west London took Paris through in last season's round of 16. Find out more in our match background.
