UEFA EURO 2004™ qualifiers Sweden and England will meet in a warm-up friendly in Gothenburg on 31 March next year.
Centenary celebrations
The international, first announced last May as part of the centenary celebrations of the Swedish Football Association (SFF), is dependent on the teams not being drawn in the same group at EURO 2004™. The finals draw takes place on 30 November in Lisbon.
Last meeting
The SFF said in May that if the sides were drawn together the friendly would be rearranged for after EURO 2004™. The two countries last met in the group stage of the 2002 FIFA World Cup finals, drawing 1-1.
