European qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup is expected to begin in September 2016.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup will take place in Russia between 8 June and 8 July. The hosts have an automatic place at the tournament; the qualifying process for other teams is yet to be announced but in Europe is expected to begin in September 2016.
