Laursen scents glory

Martin Laursen believes Denmark have a "golden opportunity" of reaching the UEFA EURO 2004™ final if they can overcome the Czech Republic tonight.

Semi-final
Should the Danes win they will meet France's conquerors Greece in Thursday's semi-final and Laursen said: "I really do hope that no one in the team is content with what we have already achieved. Now we know that we would be facing Greece in the semi-final in the event of a win over the Czechs, I think we have a golden opportunity of reaching the final."

Respect for Greece
Laursen, who was speaking after last night's training session in the Estádio do Dragão, added: "I do have respect for the Greek team, but I still find that we have a great chance of reaching the final - and also of winning the tournament - if we can beat the Czechs."

Fifty-fifty
Striker Ebbe Sand, who has been suffering with a strained buttock muscle, described his chances of playing tonight as "50-50" after he did not take part in the short training session and instead did some light running. "I would consider my chances of getting fit of being 50-50," he said. "It will all depend on a final test."
