Finland turn to crestfallen trio

Finland coach Antti Muurinen has included three players who suffered UEFA Champions League heartbreak in midweek in his squad to face F.Y.R Macedonia next week in Prilep.

Litmanen on target
Sami Hyypiä and Jari Litmanen both featured in Liverpool FC's elimination at the hands of Bayer 04 Leverkusen, the latter scoring the English side's final goal in a 4-2 defeat, while Joonas Kolkka was powerless to stop FC Barcelona seeing off Panathinaikos FC.

Superb victory
After failing to qualify for the FIFA World Cup, Finland began their preparation for their EURO 2004™ qualifying campaign in superb style last month with a 4-1 defeat of Portugal in Porto.
