Ukraine have named their squad for the finals of the forthcoming LG Cup tournament in Moscow.

Experimental squad
Ukraine will be without Milan AC striker Andriy Shevchenko and Arsenal FC defender Oleh Luzhny at the LG Cup tournament in Moscow but coach Leonid Buryak is hoping to make good use of the competition to give some less prominent players a chance to shine.

Two new faces
There are two new faces in the squad - FC Spartak Moscow midfield players Eduard Tsykhmeistruk and Maxim Kalinichenko. "We will be trying to look at our midfield line in Moscow, that is why we have called up two more creative players," Buryak explained.

Last chance
Two more midfield players, who are also hoping to secure a place in Buryak`s squad, will be given a last chance to prove themselves before the start of Ukraine's EURO 2004™ qualification campaign. Olexandr Rykun from FC Metalurh Mariupol and Andry Voronin from FC Mainz 05 will need to impress in Moscow to have a hope in featuring in Buryak's future plans.

Yugoslavian test
Ukraine will play Yugoslavia in one semi-final while Russia will play Belarus in the other, with both games scheduled for 17 May.
