Macedonia set for Vaduz trip

F.Y.R. Macedonia have named a 19-man squad for the EURO 2004™ qualifier against Liechtenstein.

Teen sensation
Macedonia could give a debut to teenager Ilco Naumoski after the striker, who plays for Austrian side Grazer AK, received his first call-up. Otherwise the squad is unchanged from the 5-0 friendly win over Malta last week. The only question mark is the fitness of midfield player Vlatko Grozdanovski from FK Cementarnica 55. If he recovers from injury, he will take the place of either Aleksandar Vasovski of FK Vardar or FK Napredok's Goce Toleski.

History lesson
Macedonia's form is good going into the Group 7 opener at the Rheinpark in Vaduz. The former Yugoslav republic beat Liechtenstein twice in qualifying for the 1998 FIFA World Cup. Macedonia won 11-1 in Vaduz before settling for a 3-0 victory in the return match in Skopje.
