Savicevic names squad for warm-up

Yugoslavia coach Dejan Savicevic has picked his squad for their friendly in Prague.

Yugoslavian national coach Dejan Savicevic has announced his 22-man squad for the side’s final EURO 2004™ warm-up friendly against the Czech Republic on 6 September in Prague.

Notable absentees
Goran Djorovic, Dejan Stefanovic, Vladimir Ivic, Sasa Ilic and Zoran Njegus are all missing through injury,  while Predrag Mijatovic and Slavisa Jokanovic, both currently without a club, have also been left out

'No surprises'
Savicevic said: "The Czechs are strong opponents, but the result is not the most important thing for us. I want to see if all my ideas have been accepted and I want to see the shape of the team. We will play a 3-4-1-2 formation. The squad list has no surprises and this the side with which Yugoslavia will attempt to qualify for the EURO 2004™ finals in Portugal."

Italian opener
Yugoslavia begin their qualifying campaign in Italy on 12 October, and also face Finland, Azerbaijan and Wales.
