López promises positive play

Armenia coach Oscar López has named a 24-man squad for Wednesday's trip to Greece.

Armenia coach Oscar López has named a 24-man squad for Wednesday's EURO 2004™ Group 6 qualifier in Greece.

'Looking for victory'
The Armenians have played just one qualifying match so far, a 2-2 home draw in Yerevan with Ukraine last month, while Greece have suffered 2-0 reverses against Spain and, last Saturday, the Ukrainians. "I hope we leave Greece in a good mood," said López. "We are looking for victory but Greece are experienced and can cause problems for any team."

Disgruntled Movsesyan
López has problems of his own. FC Saturn Moskovskaya Oblast striker Andrey Movsesyan has notified the Armenian Football Federation that he is no longer available for selection after "Oscar López thanked all players except me for the performance against Ukraine".

Youngster included
The 16-year-old FC Pyunik player Karl Lombe benefits from the withdrawal of Movsesyan, earning his first call-up after impressing for Armenia's Under-17 side. Hamlet Mkhitaryan, who plays in Lebanon for Tadamon Beirut, is also included.

Armenia squad
Berezovski, Hambartsumyan, Bete, Hovsepyan, Vardanyan, Artur Mkrtchyan, Dokhoyan, Petikyan, Tadevosyan, Bilibio, Petrosyan, Mkhotaryan, Khachatryan, Sarkisyan, Voskanyan, Minasyan, Agvan Mkrtchyan, Aleksanyan, Melikyan, Lombe, Artavazd Karamyan, Arman Karamyan, Movsisyan, Manucharyan.
