Tore André Flo is back in the Norway squad for the friendly against Austria on 20 November after an eight-month absence.
Eight-month absence
The Sunderland AFC striker was among the names when coach Nils Johan Semb announced his 19-man squad today. Flo's last appearance for Norway was in a goalless draw against Tunisia in March.
Surprise call-ups
Apart from Flo there were also surprise call-ups for Viking FK defensive midfield player Brede Hangeland and DSC Arminia Bielefeld's Torjus Hansen. Norway have met Austria on nine occasions, the most recent being in 1991 when the sides drew 0-0. Norway are currently top of UEFA EURO 2004™ Group 2 and their next qualifier is against Luxembourg on 2 April.
