Denmark's Olsen calls for fresh legs

Denmark coach Morten Olsen has handed call-ups to Leon Andreasen and Simon Busk Poulsen for the qualifier against Spain as he contends with some big absentees.

Uncapped pair Leon Andreasen and Simon Busk Poulsen have both been included in Denmark's squad but coach Morten Olsen will be without some big names for the UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifier against Spain.

'Surprised and proud'
Martin Laursen, Thomas Helveg, Søren Larsen and Peter Løvenkrands have all been ruled out of the match on 24 March when the Danes take on Spain looking to close the gap on runaway Group F leaders Sweden. It could mean a chance for 1. FSV Mainz 05 defender Andreasen and FC Midtjylland winger Poulsen, after they were rewarded for impressive club form. "I am surprised, proud and extremely happy," said former Under-21 international Poulsen. Should they fail to play in Madrid, the pair could be given a run-out in the friendly against Germany four days later.
