Switzerland coach Köbi Kuhn has named a 19-man squad for the friendly international against Slovenia on 12 February.
Two injuries
Kuhn has called up nine players who play abroad, including striker Alexander Frei who recently left Swiss football to join French club Stade Rennais FC. However, the injured Servette FC midfield duo Massimo Lombardo and Sébastien Fournier miss out in an otherwise unchanged squad.
Fine start
Switzerland will be seeking a positive result ahead of the UEFA EURO 2004™ qualifier against Georgia on 2 April. They have already made an excellent start to their Group 10 campaign, recording a home win against Georgia, a draw in Albania and a win against the Republic of Ireland in Dublin.
