Duo receive Völler call

Tobias Rau and Benjamin Lauth have received their first call-ups from Germany coach Rudi Völler.

VfL Wolfsburg's FC Bayern München-bound defender Tobias Rau and TSV 1860 München forward Benjamin Lauth received their first call-ups to the German national side today as coach Rudi Völler announced his squad for the friendly against Spain on 12 February.

Böhme back
Christoph Metzelder, Carsten Ramelow and Jörg Böhme are also all back in the squad after recovering full fitness although Völler is without Christian Ziege and Dietmar Hamann who are still nursing injuries.

Warm-up match
The friendly, which will be played in the Son Moix stadium in Palma on the Balearic island of Mallorca, will serve as a warm-up for Germany's UEFA EURO 2004™ qualifying game on 29 March against Lithuania in Nürnberg where the hosts will aim to preserve their perfect record in Group 5.
