Captain recalled
McLeish has recalled several players who were rested for last week's 1-0 friendly defeat of South Africa including captain Barry Ferguson, who is suspended for the game against Lithuania at Hampden Park on 8 September. Paul Hartley, David Weir, Lee McCulloch and Gary Naysmith also return, while Barry Robson and Jay McEveley have retained their places after making their debuts against South Africa. Scotland have 15 points in Group B, one fewer than Italy and two less than the France team they meet in Paris on 12 September.
