Sweden leave it late for friendly win

Montenegro 1-2 Sweden The visitors came from behind for a friendly victory thanks to goals from Markus Rosenberg and Rade Prica in the final 20 minutes.

Montenegro 1-2 Sweden
Sweden came from a goal down to earn a friendly victory against Montenegro in Podgorica.

Montenegro ahead
The home team had two wins and a draw from their first five post-independence fixtures, but this was probably their biggest test to date ahead of entering 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifying in autumn next year. Montenegro began well with Nikola Drinčić and Milorad Peković both impressing on their debuts and they led on 16 minutes when Mirko Vučinić claimed his third goal in as many games as he headed in Igor Burzanović's corner.

Comeback
Vučinić went close twice again and Sweden goalkeeper Rami Shaaban kept out a Burzanović shot, but gradually the visitors took control. On 70 minutes Markus Rosenberg equalised after good work from Dusan Djurić and four minutes later Rade Prica secured the win with an exciting solo effort. Sweden, in a strong position in UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifying Group F, return to competitive action in Liechtenstein on 13 October.
