Prasnikar calls up Kapic

Slovenia coach Bojan Prasnikar has announced his 20-man squad for the EURO 2004™ match against France.

Slovenia coach Bojan Prasnikar has announced his 20-man squad for the EURO 2004™ qualifying match against France on Saturday in Paris.

Bulajic missing
Missing from the squad is defender Spasoje Bulajic who strained knee ligaments while playing for his club 1. FSV Mainz 05 at the weekend. Prasnikar has brought NK Koper's Bekim Kapic into the squad as cover although Bulajic is expected to be replaced by NK Maribor defender Fabijan Cipot in Saturday's starting lineup.

Tactical thoughts
"Our tactics will be a combination of the matches against Italy and Malta," Prasnikar said. "If we only defend we will not get a good result so we will look for our chances to score from counterattacks."

Slovenia squad
Dabanovic, Simeunovic, Cipot, Kapic, Knavs, Mavric, Vugdalic, Acimovic, Ceh, Filekovic, Gajser, Karic, Pavlin, Radosavljevic, Sukalo, Zahovic, Zlogar, Cimirotic, Ipavec, Siljak.
