Show of strength for Dutch

Netherlands coach Dick Advocaat has turned to experience for the forthcoming friendly against Belgium.

Going for experience
Dutch coach Dick Advocaat has called up 22 players, all of whom have national-team experience. Only five of the squad play their football in the Eredivisie in the form of PSV Eindhoven trio Ronald Waterreus, Andre Ooijer and Mark van Bommel, and AFC Ajax duo Wesley Sneijder and Rafael van der Vaart.

Czech challenge
The match will be a prelude to the end of the Netherlands' UEFA EURO 2004™ campaign. They are second in Group 3, level on points with leaders Czech Republic with each side having three games to play. A key match will be their meeting on 10 September in Prague.
