Familiar faces for Greece

Otto Rehhagel has opted for experience in his Greece squad to face Norway next Wednesday.

Established players
Having fielded a side composed of domestic-based players for Greece's win against Cyprus last week, the German coach has looked to more established talents for the game against Norway.

No room
Nikos Lyberopoulos and Pantelis Konstantinidis of Panathinaikos FC and Lampros Choutos of Olympiakos Piraeus FC, all of whom appeared in recent friendlies, miss out on selection. But Olympiakos's Paraskevas Antzas keeps his place at the expense of AS Roma defender Traianos Dellas.

Young talent
Meanwhile, Egaleo FC forward Anestis Agritis, Xanthi FC defender Spyros Vallas, Dimitris Papadopoulos of Burnley FC, and Giannis Amanatidis of VfB Stuttgart, will all play for the Under-21 side in a match against Norway's youngsters.

Next game
Greece are preparing for their next UEFA EURO 2004™ Group 6 game away to Northern Ireland on 2 April. Rehhagel's side have picked up three points from their first three games.

Greece squad
Nikopolidis, Chalkias, Venetidis, Antzas, Patsatzoglou, Fyssas, Kyrgiakos, Seitaridis, Dabizas, Giannakopoulos, Zagorakis, Lakis, Tsartas, Karagounis, Bassinas, Georgiadis, Kafes, Nikolaidis, Vryzas, Haristeas.
