Luxembourg coach Allan Simonsen has named a 19-man squad for the friendly match against Albania.

Luxembourg coach Allan Simonsen has named a 19-man squad for the friendly match against Albania in Hesperange on Wednesday night.

Gillet and Strasser included
Luxembourg regulars Stéphane Gillet and Jeff Strasser are included in the squad, with former Danish international Simonsen picking 17 players from the 26 he took to Andalucia for a ten-day training camp earlier this month. Goalkeeper Joe Flick has been promoted to the senior squad along with midfielder Fons Lewick and defender Paul Bollendorff.

'Work hard'
Luc Holtz, who suffered an injury in Andalucia, may not be fit to start the match. Simonsen was delighted with the training camp and admitted he is looking forward to the match. "One can't expect miracles," Simonsen said, "but as everyone appears to be willing to work hard, we can look to the future with confidence."

Luxembourg squad
Gillet, Flick, Funck, Reiter, Schaack, Schauls, Bollendorf, Cardoni, Deville, Holtz, Peters, Strasser, Lewick, Christophe, Fernandes, Huss, Mischo, Posing, Schneider.
