Sliskovic makes his choice

Bosnia-Herzegovina have named 13 foreign-based players for the EURO 2004™ qualifier against Romania.

Bosnia-Herzegovina coach Blaz Sliskovic has named 13 foreign-based players for his side's EURO 2004 qualifier at home to Romania on 7 September.

Full squad to be announced
Sliskovic said he would announce the full squad, including eight further players from Bosnia and other neighbouring countries on Sunday - a day before the squad gathers in Medjugorje.

Missing names
Not included in the squad are Elvir Baljic of Galatasaray SK and Elvir Bolic of Rayo Vallecano, who are short of match fitness, while Hamburger SV's Sergej Barbarez and Coventry City FC's Muhamed Konjic are injured.

Important game
"This game is 100 times more important for us than for them if we want to get our confidence back but it will be very difficult," Sliskovic said.

Bosnia-Herzegovina squad
Piplica, Tolja, Beslija, Bajramovic, Hibic, Music, Papac, Salihamidzic, Hota, Ikanovic, Akrapovic, Muratovic, Halilovic.
