Danish camp
The midfield player flew in to Lisbon from Copenhagen this morning before heading directly to Denmark's base on the Algarve, nearly 250km from the Portuguese capital. "There has always been a place open for Jesper," coach Morten Olsen said.
Ready to return
"He feels ready to join the team now, and of course we are happy with that decision. He wants to be treated like everybody else in the team and we feel confident that everybody will comply with that wish," Olsen added.
Training session
Grønkjær, who watched Denmark's goalless draw with Italy in his homeland, stressed that he did not wish to discuss the situation when the rest of the team left for Portugal on 6 June. The Chelsea FC winger will take part in training at Le Meridien training ground at 5pm local time (18.00CET).
