The main event will be less than ten months away when the Swiss face the 1988 UEFA European Championship winners at a venue yet to be decided. Coach Kuhn will hope to maintain Switzerland's decent record against the Oranje, with the history books showing 14 Swiss victories to the Netherlands' 15 from 31 matches between the two nations. Before then, Switzerland will play friendlies against Germany, Colombia and Jamaica over the next two months.
