Today's result means Scotland will win the Kirin Cup friendly tournament with just a draw against hosts Japan in Saitama on Saturday. Rangers FC forward Boyd got the ball rolling with a well-taken opener although Yordan Todorov equalised. However, Boyd pounced to restore Scotland's lead and they never looked back after that. James McFadden's volley made it 3-1 before Burke, also of Rangers, twice got on the scoresheet, the first a lobbed effort before a late tap-in concluded matters. Bulgaria beat Japan 2-1 on Tuesday.
