Lennon misses England qualifier

Aaron Lennon has been ruled out of England's UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifier against Estonia with a knee injury, paving the way for a David Beckham comeback.

Beckham comeback
His absence on the right side of midfield paves the way for former England captain David Beckham to possibly return to the starting XI after earning his first call up from national coach Steve McClaren since he left the Real Madrid CF star out of his plans following the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Lennon picked up the injury during England B's 3-1 win against Albania on Friday, when he came off after just ten minutes in Burnley. England play Brazil on Friday in their first international at the new Wembley Stadium before visiting Estonia for their key UEFA EURO 2008™ Group E qualifying match on 6 June.
