Le Mans UC 72 captain Marko Baša could make his Montenegro debut after being called into the squad for the 22 August friendly against Slovenia in Podgorica.

Players restored
Baša, 24, was part of the Serbia and Montenegro side that reached the 2004 UEFA European Under-21 Championship finals and played at the Olympic Games in Athens – but he is yet to make a senior international appearance. Coach Zoran Filipović could also give first caps to goalkeeper Srdjan Blažić and midfielder Nedeljko Vlahović, who were in the squad for the win against Hungary in Montenegro's inaugural match in March but not for the Kirin Cup defeats by Japan and Colombia three months later. Recent Sporting Clube de Portugal signing Simon Vukčević, who was on U21 duty in June, is also restored. Filipović said: "We continue to build our team. This is a new challenge for us. We will play for a win but know that we are playing a quality side with more experience."
