Preparations for UEFA EURO 2012 reached another milestone on Tuesday as the ticket-buying process was launched on UEFA.com.

Ticket sales will run from 1 to 31 March but throughout February fans can get one step ahead and open the user account they will need to apply when the time comes. Enter the ticket portal.

Ticket process
Sales of tickets for UEFA EURO 2012 will be made exclusively via UEFA.com from 1 March until midnight on 31 March. All applicants have an equal chance of acquiring a ticket irrespective of when the application was made.

Once the application period is closed a lottery will be conducted if matches are oversubscribed – in the past, the demand for EURO tickets has outstripped supply. Individuals will receive information on their ticket application and allocation status throughout the process, via their accounts.

Ticket options
There are three types of tickets available:

• Individual match tickets – tickets for a specific match
• Follow my team group/tournament – allows fans to follow their selected team during the group stage/whole tournament
• Venue series group/knockout – allows fans to attend all games at a specific stadium during the group stage/knockout phase

Disabled fans can buy tickets for themselves and an accompanying person via UEFA.com too.

Prices
Prices will be revealed on 1 March but UEFA has committed to making them affordable to all Ukrainian and Polish citizens. Ticket prices will start from €30. A number of tickets will be reserved, on a priority basis, for citizens of the host cities.
