No surprises for Swiss

There were no surprises in Köbi Kuhn's Switzerland squad for the Group 10 leaders' visit to Russia.

There were no surprises in Köbi Kuhn's Switzerland squad for the Group 10 leaders' UEFA EURO 2004™ qualifier against Russia.

Duo missing
Only injured goalkeeper Jörg Stiel and suspended defender Bernt Haas will miss the trip to Moscow. Grasshopper-Club's Fabrice Borer will provide back-up to Pascal Zuberbühler, who is set for his first start in goal since the April stalemate in Georgia.

Five Basel players
Returning to the fold are SV Werder Bremen's Ludovic Magnin and Grasshoppers' Christoph Spycher. Hakan Yakin is still unavailable because of injury but Benjamin Huggel, who made his debut in last month's home defeat by France, is one of five FC Basel players included.

Group situation
Switzerland lead their section with 12 points from six matches, two clear of the Republic of Ireland and five ahead of Russia, although the Russians have a game in hand.

Switzerland squad
Borer, Zuberbühler, Berner, Henchoz, Magnin, Meyer, Müller, Spycher, M Yakin, Zwyssig, Cabanas, Cantaluppi, Celestini, Chapuisat, Frei, Huggel, Rama, Vogel, Wicky.
