Fans warned over ticket purchases

Fans seeking tickets for UEFA EURO 2004™ matches have been warned to buy tickets from official sources only.

Fans seeking tickets for UEFA EURO 2004™ matches have been warned to buy tickets from official sources only. The warning came from tournament organisers, Euro 2004, S.A., ahead of the resumption of ticket sales next week.

Sales resume
Sales to the general public were put on hold on 28 November until last Sunday's draw for the final round had taken place. They will resume on the official EURO 2004™ website, www.euro2004.com, at 12.00 Portuguese time (13.00CET) on Tuesday 9 December 2003.

Internet warning
A statement from Euro 2004, S.A. read: "We are aware that there are a number of websites claiming to have tickets for sale and that some of these websites appear very similar to the official UEFA EURO 2004™ website.

Official sources
"We urge supporters to take care when applying for tickets via the Internet and remind you all that the only official sources for match tickets are via www.euro2004.com or through the 16 competing national football associations."
