Manchev out of Athens trip

Striker Vladimir Manchev is among the absentees from the Bulgaria squad for next week's friendly in Greece.

Bulgaria coach Plamen Markov will be without Vladimir Manchev, Svetoslav Todorov and Iliyan Stoyanov for next week's friendly against fellow UEFA EURO 2004™ qualifiers Greece.

Missing trio
Lille OSC striker Manchev is suffering with a knee injury and has no chance of being fit for the Athens encounter. The same applies to Todorov, back in training at Portsmouth FC after a cruciate ligament injury, and PFC Levski Sofia defender Stoyanov who is recovering from a groin problem.

Litex signings
In all, Markov has called up 19 players for the match, including Zdravko Zdravkov and Zoran Jankovic, who recently moved to PFC Litex Lovech.

Bulgaria squad
Zdravkov, Ivankov, R Kirilov, Topuzakov, Pazhin, I Petkov, Krustev, Borimirov, G Peev, T Yanchev, Stilian Petrov, M Petkov, Marian Hristov, Jankovic, Velizar Dimitrov, M Kamburov, Z Lazarov, Martin Petrov, Berbatov.
