The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) made its final formal bid presentation to the UEFA Executive Committee in Geneva as it looked to win the right to stage UEFA EURO 2016 ahead of fellow candidates France and Turkey.
The FIGC bid included 12 stadiums, of which eight would require major renovations and three would be new, in as many cities: Bari, Cagliari, Cesena, Florence, Milan, Naples, Palermo, Parma, Rome, Turin, Udine and Verona.
