Petter Hansson and Jonas Olsson returned to the Sweden fold as cover for suspended centre-back Olof Mellberg as coach Erik Hamrén announced his squad to face the Netherlands in next month's UEFA EURO 2012 qualifier.
Hamrén has hinted that Andreas Granqvist is likely to partner Daniel Majstorovic at the heart of Sweden's back line but has turned to Olsson and, for the first time in his tenure, Hansson as backup. FC Groningen's Granqvist is one of ten members of the 20-man squad with Dutch Eredivisie experience, and Hamrén is only too aware of the task awaiting his side in Amsterdam on 12 October.
"The Netherlands are second in the FIFA rankings and we are 32nd: there's no doubt who the favourite is," he said. "I like to daydream from time to time though, and
in my head we've played a number of matches against the Netherlands – and won them all!" Hamrén's team kicked off Group E with back-to-back wins against Hungary and San Marino.
