Austria coach Dietmar Constantini has recalled Paul Scharner and Marko Arnautović to his squad for the UEFA EURO 2012 qualifiers against Azerbaijan and Belgium.
Scharner won the last of his 30 caps in March, while SV Werder Bremen forward Arnautović has made five appearances for Austria, most recently in a 2-1 FIFA World Cup qualifying win against Romania on 1 April 2009. Fabian Koch's fine start to the season with FC Wacker Innsbruck has been rewarded with a first call-up, but Manuel Ortlechner and David Alaba are missing with ankle injuries while Ümit Korkmaz and Christoph Leitgeb have been left out.
Austria, who started their Group A campaign with a 2-0 win against Kazakhstan earlier this month, play Azerbaijan on 8 October in the Ernst-Happel-Stadion and then travel to Brussels to tackle Belgium four days later.
