Ranocchia wants taste of EURO success with Italy

Having helped Italy secure their place in Poland and Ukraine, centre-back Andrea Ranocchia told UEFA.com that the Azzurri expect "to have a great EURO" next summer.

Having helped Italy seal their place at UEFA EURO 2012 with two games to spare, centre-back Andrea Ranocchia told UEFA.com that the Azzurri will travel to Poland and Ukraine confident they can "catch up with" current favourites Spain and Germany. The 23-year-old FC Internazionale Milano defender praised Italy coach Cesare Prandelli for transforming a side that struggled at the 2010 FIFA World Cup and says he and his team-mates expect "to have a great EURO" and "maybe even win it".
