Yugoslavia agree French date

Yugoslavia will visit France for an international friendly on 20 November.

The Yugoslav Football Association (FSJ) has accepted France's offer of a friendly on 20 November.

French affair
The match will be played in France, although the venue and kick-off time will be announced at a later date. The two countries have also agreed to play another friendly in 2003 in Yugoslavia, the details of which will also be determined at a later date.

'More than an honour'
The French test comes two months into Dejan Savicevic's side's UEFA European Championship qualification campaign. The FSJ's general secretary, Branko Bulatovic, said: "We have immediately accepted the offer from France. It is more than an honour to play against the world champions. It will also be the right opportunity for Yugoslavia to try out the team that should play in the EURO 2004™ qualifying matches."
