Luiz Felipe Scolari has confirmed that he has agreed to coach Portugal for a further two years.
Momentous moment
The Brazilian coach announced his decision to stand by the Portuguese national team moments after a 2-1 win against the Netherlands had taken them to the final of UEFA EURO 2004™ - the first major tournament final in the country's history.
Greater achievement
Scolari led Brazil to triumph at the 2002 FIFA World Cup before taking over at Portugal but he said after Wednesday's game that his Portuguese achievement may be greater still. "When I was coach of Brazil, they had won the tournament four times," he said. "For the CV, this is better. Portugal have never qualified for a final. This is more important."
