Latvia came from behind to seal a dramatic 2-1 victory over Kazakhstan in their friendly encounter tonight.
Shock lead
Kazakhstan took a shock lead on the stroke of half-time when Maxim Shevchenko scored to put the visitors ahead. Latvia pushed for an equaliser and, with time running out, substitute Mihails Zemlinskis drew Latvia level as he converted a 75th-minute penalty.
Stolcers winner
The hosts were then reduced to ten men when Arturs Zakresevskis was sent off nine minutes from time. Kazakhstan went in search of a winning goal but were caught out in the final minute as Andrejs Stolcers netted to complete a hard-fought comeback.
