Alan Dzagoev has had to pull out of Russia's squad for UEFA EURO 2016 after breaking a metatarsal bone in his foot during CSKA Moskva's title-winning defeat of Rubin Kazan on Saturday.

The attacking midfielder struck the only goal in a 1-0 success as CSKA were crowned champions and was named in Leonid Slutski's squad on the same day, but complained of a pain in his foot after the game before tests revealed a metatarsal fracture. His place in the 23-man party has now been filled by Krasnodar midfielder Dmitri Torbinski.

Russia will begin their training camp in Switzerland on 24 May and will then take on Czech Republic (1 June) and Serbia (5 June) in pre-tournament friendlies.
