Malta select tour squad

Malta have announced a 21-man squad that will travel to Germany for three friendly fixtures.

Siegfried Held, the Malta coach, has announced a 21-man squad that will travel to Germany for a ten-day intensive training camp and three friendly fixtures ahead of the EURO 2004™ qualifying campaign.

Commitments
Omitted from the squad are the Hibernians FC national team players as they are involved in the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round competition against Portugal's Boavista FC. Michael Mifsud from 1. FC Kaiserslautern's and Stefan Giglio from CSKA Sofia are also missing due to pre-season club commitments.

Three friendlies
Malta will play Spiel Kolm on Saturday, Spiel Haiger on Tuesday and Spiel Kaufungen next Wednesday ahead of their first EURO 2004™ qualifier against Slovenia on 7 September.

Darmanin, Gauci, Haber, Carabott, Ciantar, Chetcuti, Debono, Mamo, Said, Theuma, Barbara, Brincat, Camenzuli, Camilleri, Holland, Sammut, Turner, Agius, Bogdanovic, Licari, Nwoko.
