Johana injury hurts club and country

FC Slovan Liberec's Czech international Petr Johana faces six weeks out with a hip problem.

FC Slovan Liberec's Czech Republic international defender Petr Johana faces up to six weeks on the sidelines with a hip injury that will keep him out of his country's opening EURO 2004™ qualifiers this week.

Dostálek drafted
As well as the matches against Moldova and Belarus, the 25-year-old Johana may also be missing for Slovan's UEFA Cup second-round tie against Ipswich Town FC. SK Slavia Praha's Richard Dostálek has been called in to replace him.

UEFA Cup tie
Johana, who limped off 20 minutes into Monday's league defeat at SK Slavia Praha, has been ordered to take between four and six weeks' rest. Slovan visit Ipswich for the first leg of their UEFA Cup tie on 31 October with the return fixture a fortnight later on 14 November.

Starting role
Johana has started the Czech Republic's last four matches in which time they have conceded only one goal.
